Shipping & Returns

At ACU, we understand that purchasing a cremation urn is often happening at a stressful and emotional time.  That's why we offer free standard shipping (2-3 Day First Class Mail or Priority Mail) on the purchase of all of our standard and large cremation urns.  We also understand that it is critical to ship your urn in a timely manner.  Below is a helpful guide for all of your shipping questions.

Shipper:  United States Postal Service

Shipping Deadline:  All orders ship within 3 business days (if order is placed after 4:00pm EST, an extra business day may be required to ship).  When ordering a customized product, American Custom Urns sends proofs of all engravings for customer approval prior to shipping.  Customer must respond in a timely manner to ensure all shipping timelines are met.  ACU is not responsible for any orders that take longer than 3 business days if customer delays personalization process.

NOTE: Hand-painted items are made to order and may take up to 3 weeks to ship based on artist availability.  Contact orders@americancustomurns.com for current information on anticipated turnaround time.

Free shipping:  Free shipping is available on all standard and large cremation urns, as well as any purchase of at least $200 to anywhere in the contiguous United States.  All items qualifying for free shipping will be sent via USPS Priority Mail (2-3 Day). For other options, additional shipping rates will apply.

Returns: We accept most returns for any reason within 30 days of receipt of the product for a 100% refund.

Returns after 30 days will be reviewed on a case by case basis but will likely not be refunded.

Any product with a defect can be returned within a year of the purchase date for a replacement (beyond a year, please contact us and we'll work with you for a solution).

Returns of products with custom engravings or custom paintings may only be accepted if there was a defect or error in the product. Partial refunds and/or replacements of these items will be considered on a case by case basis.
