We started American Custom Urns to offer a more personal and straightforward alternative to the options most people encounter at funeral homes.

From our own experiences, many of those options feel mass-produced or impersonal, especially at a time when people are already dealing with enough. We wanted to create something different—urns made from solid materials, with thoughtful design, and a process that’s clear and easy to navigate.

We’re a small U.S.-based shop, and every urn we sell is built by one of us—David or Jacob—from start to finish.

When you reach out with a question, you’re speaking directly with the people who will be designing and making your urn. That’s important to us, and we think it makes a difference.

Each urn is crafted from solid hardwood. We don’t use veneers or composite materials. We offer custom sizing and engraving options, allowing for each urn to be a truly custom item.

We work efficiently to keep turnaround times reasonable, and we do our best to stay responsive and available throughout the process. Our goal is to make it as straightforward as possible, and to provide a lasting, meaningful memorial—well-made, personal, and built with care.
