Chestnut trees were once numerous in areas east of the Mississippi River. In fact, it is said that 1 in 4 trees in the Appalachian Mountains were chestnuts. In the first half of the 20th century, these trees were practically wiped off the map by the chestnut blight. This fungus devastated the American Chestnut population and has largely removed this beautiful lumber from existence.

These tubes are a unique and rare way to pay tribute to those we have lost. The compact size makes them perfect for scattering ceremonies or as keepsake items.
